Unusually shaped lunar coin Year of the Snake Exclusive silver coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2013. According to the Chinese lunar calendar, the year 2013 is ruled by the Snake. The reverse of the coin with undulating margin symbolizing the snake’s movement depicts a crawling snake partly covered by leaves at the right rim. The obverse side features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, words “15 DOLLARS”, “ELIZABETH II”, “CANADA” and the year of issue. The coin is delivered in a luxurious gift case together with the certificate of origin.
