The Liberec region is situated in the north of Bohemia. From the west to the east it is bordered by mountains – Lužické and Jizerské,the Ještěd-Kozákov ridge and the highest mountain range in the country, the Giant Mountains. Modern industry is represented by machine engineering – for example the manufacture of car components and state-of-the-art textile machines. The traditional glass industry made the region famous worldwide. The accompanying token made of Nordic Gold (alloy CuAl5Zn5Sn1) was designed by Jan Petr, a graduate of the Secondary Vocational School in Jablonec nad Nisou. The reverse side is dominated by Štěpánka, the most beautiful lookout tower of the Jizerské Mountains. Limited edition 10,000 pcs.
