Gold half-ounce medal Foundation of Czechoslovak National Council proof | Czech Mint The Mint says about this coin: Product description The Czechs the Slovaks have always been proud and courageous nations and for the fatherland they are capable of great acts, which throughout its history proved countless times. It was exactly a hundred years ago, that the brave patriots decided to put an end to the Austro-Hungarian oppression and liberate their people from the yoke of years of monarchy. May 14, 1916 Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, Milan Rastislav Štefánik, Edvard Beneš and Štefan Osuský established in Paris the Czechoslovak National Council, which openly demonstrated their struggle for an independent state. A significant Czechoslovak anniversary recalls the Czech Mint in a charismatic form of an investment mintage, a half-ounce gold medal in top quality proof. The Czechoslovak National Council during the First World War became a central body of the Czechoslovak foreign resistance. Under the chairmanship of Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, since its inception, involved in the management and organization of the military units abroad, called legions. By the decree of the French Government in 1917 was created an independent Czech-Slovak army in France, whose command was in charge of The Czechoslovak National Council. The successful operating of the Czechoslovak legions in Russia, but also in French and Italian fronts gave to the council the prestige in negotiations with the allies. At the end of the war, the Czechoslovak National Council was gradually acknowledged by the governments of France, Great Britain, USA and Japan, as the official representative of the future Czechoslovak state. October 14, 1918 was the council transformed into the so-called interim Czechoslovak government in Paris and exactly a month later formally expired by the provision as the first government of the Czechoslovak Republic. A perfect harmony on both sides of the attractive mintage and creatively elaborated topic are the most prominent features of an unrealized proposal for the banking competition, whose author is an exceptionally gifted artist Asamat Baltaev, DiS. On the obverse of the coin he placed the medallions of the initiators of the free republic of Czechs and Slovaks - Tomas Garrigue Masaryk, Milan Rastislav Štefánik, Edvard Beneš and Josef Dürich. The composition adds an emblem and a flag, an inscription CZECHOSLOVAK NATIONAL COUNCIL and the years 1916-2016. The reverse side has the composer dedicated to the theme of the magazine La Nation Tchèque. A gorgeous collector's matter and at the same time an original investment opportunity in a form of a half-ounce medal of pure gold is limited to just 99 pieces! More Less | ||||||
