Product description Ice Hockey World Championships is an annual long-awaited holiday of all sports fans. However, this year`s championship is particularly special for the Czechs - it takes place in our homeland and the matches will be played in the stadiums in Prague and Ostrava. And if that was not enough, the championship will take place in our country for the tenth time! Such an important hockey event deserves exceptional attention, like this one, received from the Czech Mint. It has prepared an attractive issue of gold medal with the motiv of the Ice Hockey World Championship 2015 in top proof quality. In the course of the history of this the top-level ice hockey competition, the Czech hockey team won six gold, one silver and four bronze medals. The result of the first World Championship held in Czechoslovakia in 1933 was deserved bronze medal. Every championship in charge of Czechoslovakia meant metals for our team the metal until 2004, when we were placed fifth. Eleven years later our team has the opportunity to get back on the rails and show their rivals, that ,as good Czechs, were born with a stick in their hands. The top of hockey season is every year a couse of two weeks of maximum tension, but also a varied social life. In 2015, two animated heroes - Bob and Bobek, together with the fans, will share the experience. Precisly the rabbits of the hat became the mascots of the championship. We can find both animated buddies in ice hocke equipmenton the original gold medal by the Czech Mint. Its imaginative design was created in the workshop of Czech medaillist Irena Hradecká, DiS. She accompained hockey frolicking of the rabbits - hockey players, by a bilingual inscription MISTROVSTVÍ SVĚTA V LEDNÍM HOKEJI / ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CZECH REPUBLIC. And that is how a nice collector`s handicraft with attractive investment potential was created. It will embellish 400 collections of the quickest collectors. More Less
