Gold one-ounce medal Kurt Gebauer - Love and Irony proof | Czech Mint The Mint says about this coin: Product description Link among art together, noble thoughts and the Czech Mint can bring extremely "delicious" fruit. Such a spiritual and cultural harmony is a collection of investment gold medals of the series Art for Václav Havel. This is a joint activity of the Czech Mint and the Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97, for which the leading Czech artists who have decided to support a good deed prepared a magnificent art designs. Proceeds from the sale of each medal will help to fulfill the dream of the first Czech president Václav Havel, who wanted to save the St. Anne`s Church, for the project of Prague Crossroads. He wished to create a place for meetings, cultural events and meditation from this unique place, a space where creative dialogues of people of different nationalities, religions and professions would take place. Another of the artists, whose art has contributed to the realization of this wonderful vision is Kurt Gebauer. "If you can`t fly at least a blast." These words of Kurt Gebauer, a sculptor known due to his provocative works of art, briefly and concisely characterizes his approach to the creation and life. His lifelong artistic activity is dedicated to embellishment of public space - one of the latest artistic achievements in which Kurt Gebauer was involved, was installation of the recently found original pedestal of the bust of J. W. Goethe in front of the Goethe Institut in Prague. Gebauer participated there together with the artist Jiří David, author of "Havel`s" neon heart above the Prague Castle and the previous issue of a series of Art for Václav Havel. Investment gold medal weighing one ounce Kurt Gebauer - Love and irony proof bears on the obverse side a motif inextricably linked precisely with the artist, it means the motif of dwarf. The artist used this feature before 1989 as a way to make communist ideas riduculous. However, the topic acquired a certain ironic tone also at the present time and became an adorn of the new mintage by the Czech Mint, together with pertinent text NO TREE GROWS TO THE SKY. The artist dedicated the obverse to the composition of four hearts, a symbol linked to Václav Havel, and also a part of Havel's famous quote AND LOVE WILL WIN... Save your money in exceptionally beautiful way supporting the noble idea of a great man and add a range of amazing values in the original gold medal to your collection ! More Less | ||||||
