Gold coin 10000 CZK Foundation of Czechoslovakia proof | Czech Mint The Mint says about this coin: Product description The gold one ounce coins of the Czech National Bank, with a nominal value of CZK 10000, are always dedicated to the most important national anniversaries. While in the last five-year issue period these excavations recalled the breakthrough medieval events, in 2018 they commemorate the 100th anniversary of Czechoslovakia. Coins are minted in top-quality proof. When T. G. Masaryk in July 1915 - on the occasion of the five hundredth anniversary of the burning of Jan Hus - said in a speech in Geneva, where historically justified request Czech independence, Vienna called it a declaration of war. Masaryk soon became the leader of the anti-Habsburg resistance, surrounded with collaborators committed to the same goals, and promoted the emergence of an independent Czechoslovakia throughout the world. It was thanks to those activities that the Powers of the Agreement in January 1917 marked one of their war aims the liberation of the Czechoslovaks. On October 18, 1918, Masaryk proclaimed an independent republic and, in the so-called Washington Declaration, presented her inner form and political orientation. Ten days later - October 28, 1918 - the birth of independent Czechoslovakia was declared in Prague, and two weeks later - November 14, 1918 - Masaryk was unanimously elected the first Czechoslovak president. The signature of the "President of the Liberator" together with the signatures of his closest associates Edvard Beneš and M.R. Štefánik is immortalized on the reverse side of the coin. The facsimile features a large national emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic. Beneath them is a hilltop with a linden seedlings from which an adult tree grows on the obverse side. Its crown is covered with shields with heraldic animals from the large state emblem of the Czech Republic. The sophisticated composition is the work of the leading academic painter Vladimir Pavlica. All Czech coins come from the Czech Mint in Jablonec nad Nisou. More Less | ||||||
