Gold medal Children's Hospital Motol proof | Czech Mint
The Mint says about this coin:
Gold medal Children's Hospital Motol proof The medal commemorates the 40th anniversary of the opening of the Children’s Hospital in Prague-Motol (on 9 November 1970), which is part of the Teaching Hospital Motol, the largest hospital in the Czech Republic. Today, its children’s part is the most comprehensive medical facility of its kind and ranks among the largest children’s hospitals in Europe. Top pediatric departments concentrated in one place enable excellent team cooperation across medical specializations at the highest possible level which would otherwise be impossible. The strength of the Children’s Hospital Motol does not rest only in its apparatus and laboratories but primarily in the possibility to assemble in a very short time at a sick-bed all the necessary specialists who then jointly propose the optimal diagnostic procedure and medical treatment. On the obverse side of the medal there is a child drawing of a house with an open door, the sun and flowers. It symbolizes the opening of a new sunlit facility full of flowers. The reverse side features a logo of the Motol Hospital.Limited edition of 500 pieces.
