Product description The series of Astronomical Clock by The Czech Mint has enjoyed another fine increase - silver-medal summer sign of Cancer. It is on the board of theAstronomical clock, designed by significant Czech painter Josef Mánes, completed by beautiful summer motive of a boy with a scythe and a girl burrowing grass. Charming story transferred into medal by sculptor Daniel Kartáková was decorated on the obverse side by Mánes`motif related to the month of June. The reverse side of the medal dominates Josef Mánes himself with a palette in his hand in the foreground of entire astronomical plate. Classic zodiac is very old and was probably based on the Babylonian zodiac around the year 1000 BC. The number of signs used to be different depending on calendars, which were used in agriculture. Using current 12 zodiac signs was probably established around 400 BC., and each of them covered 30 °of celestial band. Cancer gets to the word on the 22nd June, its native children are the children of the Moon and their element is water. This makes them very sensitive and receptive. And they are emotional aand also quite logical and analytical. Above all, they love family, home and tradition, and enjoy good food, culture and the arts.
