Flood relief In cooperation with Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation Vize 97 Czech Mint will issue ten-gram silver medals to offer assistance to the flood victims. Proceeds from the sale will be donated through Foundation Vize 97 to people worst hit by the 2013 flood. Czech Mint has cooperated with the Foundation Vize 97 on charity projects for a long time. We are now working together again to raise the money for the flood relief project. Last year, Czech Mint contributed over two million crowns to the Foundation from the sale of medals with the effigy of President Václav Havel. We believe we will be able to help to the needy this year as well, by doing what we can do best – minting medals. We expect that the proceeds from the sale of “flood medals” to be handed to the Foundation Vize 97 for distribution among the flood victims might exceed 250 thousand Czech crowns. More Less
