Among such stars is honorably placed the masterful actor Mr. Rudolf Hrušínský. Rudolf Hrušínský was born in 1920 in Nová Včelnice to father Rudolf Böhm who changed his name to Hrušínský. His mother Hermína, came from the famous acting family Červíčků. His arrival into the world gave a certain predestination for his life - he was born directly behind the stage. He became a successful actor, writer and also director. He possessed an incredible talent which earned him two hundred roles. He excelled in his particular technique, successfully conveying both jovial, merry roles, as well more challenging dramatic roles. It would be hard to find another artist in our film history who would act as convincingly in a portrayal of Good Soldier Švejk and labile mortician Karel Kopfkringl. As thanks for his exceptional contribution to Czech cinematography and culture we tribute an exceptional medal of pure silver in a top quality proof. The author of the mintage is a gifted medalist MgA. Martin Dašek, who has prepared a vivid portrait of Rudolf Hrušínský for the obverse. The reverse is then decorated with a film collage.
