The first mechanical clockwork, the triumph of human ingenuity, was founded in the year 850 and eventually became not only a symbol of regularity and continuity, but also of the correctness and reliability. It consists of a quantity of quizzical components - sprockets, shafts, springs, … –, which together form a unique functional unit, without which we can not imagine life. Just like a good marriage. Partners, like sprockets, fit together - they complement each other, they rely on each other, they carry together their burden and they go forward together through life. This way the marriage sees a talented medal maker Roman Shamilyan, which created a new form of of the wedding thaler for the year 2017. The cogwheels dominate the obverse as well as the reverse side of the medal. In their center are symbols of love and happiness in the form of hearts and cloverleafs. The additional pictograms of a house, a tree and a stroller then refer to an old adage "build a house, plant a tree and raise a son." The obverse side is complimented with an inscription SVATEBNÍ TOLAR 2017 /Wedding thaler 2017/. A part of each thaler is a gift package, which takes the form of a fold-out picture book with a dustjacket.
