The Mint says about this coin:

200-crown silver coin Reaching the North Pole proof The 200-crown piece is minted from an alloy containing 900 parts silver and 100 parts copper in proof-quality. The field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matte, the edge is plain with the inscription “ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13g *”.The obverse side of the coin features a portrait of Arctic explorer Robert Peary. Between the name of the state and the face value of the coin is placed the logo of the International Polar Year. The mintmark of the Czech Mint is below the Arctic explorer‘s portrait. The reverse side of the coin depicts, against a background of a symbolic rendition of the North Pole, an Arctic dog expedition above which an aurora is seen. The inscription in Czech in the outer circle reads “DOSAŽENÍ SEVERNÍHO PÓLU” and comprises the anniversary years “1909 – 2009”. The initials of the coin’s designer, sculptor Jiří Věneček, consisting of intertwined letters “jv”, are placed between the first Arctic explorer’s image and the dates. Each coin comes complete with a postcard-sized catalogue card made of gray-blue semi-carton.
