Silver bars are typically produced with two types of design elements. Minted ingots most commonly have design elements that are engraved onto the surface of the bar and present with 3D relief that you could feel if you ran your hand over the surface of the bar. Cast silver bars, on the other hand, commonly have designs and inscriptions that are struck incuse. This sinks the designs into the surface of the bar and creates a flat surface area upon which you would not feel the markings, if you were to run your hand over it.

This spade-shaped seal comes with a crown at the top and a large wreath framing the shield. On the shield itself, you will find the double-headed eagle of the Germania Mint. This ancient seal is a symbol reflecting respect for history and traditions and a view toward the future. This side of the bar has an individual serial number stamped at the bottom.
Reverse fields on the 250 Gram Germania Cast Silver Bar are purposely left blank by the mint. Though there are no design elements, you will notice two factors.
