Argor-Heraeus produces its cast silver bars one at a time. Once the silver has been melted down, it is poured into individual, prefabricated molds. These molds are made from heat-resistant materials and allow for an appropriate volume of silver to produce a certain piece. In the case of these 10 oz Argor-Heraeus Bars, the prefabricated molds ensure that exactly 10 Troy oz of silver is in the end product. Once the silver is poured into the cast, it is allowed to cool in place until each one is ready for markings to be stamped into the surface.
