The coin’s reverse depicts the Gulo Gulo’s appearance with his silhouette-shaped way you have never seen before. His coat is very detailed and his eyes are made of Swarovski crystals.
The obverse side of the coin depicts the standard Coat of Arms of Mongolia with the inscriptions: “2020” (the year of issue), “MONGOLIA” (the issuing country), “1000 TOGROG” (the face value), “3oz .999 SILVER” (the weight and the fineness of the Silver) and “GULO GULO” (the name of the coin).
The Gulo Gulo, also called wolverine, is the second-largest marten-like species after the giant otter. Wolverines live in northern regions but are nevertheless active all year round. Their strong jaws help extract some edible from frozen carcasses and travel great distances in their quest for food, sometimes as much as 50 kilometers a day. They live in rocky mountain forests, preferably close to the water and usually live alone. Wolverines are good at climbing, jumping and swimming.
