Product description The issue of gold coins 5 NZD from The Czech Mint reminds beautiful fairytale double anniversary. In 2015, Bedtime TV Storieis (Večerníček) celebrates its 50 years and popular Maxipes Fík is forty this year (“pes” in Czech means “dog”). Gold coin is a beautiful reminder of evenings spent in their company and also a celebration of the famous Czech film art, creativity, professionalism and typical humor. Maxipes Fík is the original Czech animated bedtime story, that have entertained both, adults and younsters, since 1975. Author of the origanal script is the screenwriter Rudolf Čechura, animator is Jiří Šalamoun and the music was composed by Peter Skoumal. Fík´s unique voice and the voices of other heroes are narrated by Josef Dvořák. Altogether, two series were filmed, Maxipes Fík in 1975 and Maxipes Fík`s Wild Dreams three years later. Each of them includes 13 funny parts, which tell the stories about the girl Ája and her oversized canine friend. Ája`s Daddy brought home a puppy and named it Rek. However, the name was difficult for Ája to pronounce an that is why they changed his name to Fík. The doggie grew like crazy, soon the box and then the doghouse were too small for him. He stopped growing at the moment, when he drank a whole barrel of beer. And because he learnt to speak, funny stories began to happen. Jiří Šalamoun`s unmistakable graphics was adapted into the form of an exceptional coin by designer Irena Hradecká, DiS. The reverse side of the coin bears the cheerful scene featuring Maxipes Fík wearing slippers, accompanied by his beloved friend Ája on a trip to the nature. The obverse side of the coin features issuer`s attributes and the nominal value of 5 NZD.
