The 2014 Year of the Horse coin issued by the Pacific island of Niue is dedicated to seventh of all the animals in the Chinese zodiac. Celebrate the Year of the Horse with this attractive colorful coin decorated with pad printing and struck in a beautiful proof finish with the mintage quantity limited to 9 999 pieces worldwide! Being legal tender in New Zealand, the coin displays the effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II on its obverse. The portrait is surrounded by the following inscriptions: the Queen’s name, the face value of the coin, its issuing country and year. A special minting technique of pad printing has been employed to create the playful reverse design that features a colored image of a fairy-tale rocking horse. Displayed at the background, there are three balls, two of them pad-printed.
