The Mint says about this coin:
In the series “The Most Beautiful Polish Love Stories” we present romantic couples, whose fates, often surrounded by an aura of mystery, were joined by intense feelings and great passion. Minted in .999 sterling silver Decorated with high-quality digital printing and SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS Unique oval shape Elegant scarlet presentation case in the form of a heart A resonant love affair between famous French novelist Honoré de Balzac and the Polish noblewoman Ewelina Hańska provided the inspiration to design the last, fifth coin from our romantic series. This magnificent silver token is an oval portrait of the couple, kept in the convention of a wedding photography. Images of Balzac and his mistress were copied from the painting created by Maxim Dastugue and Holz von Sowgen, respectively. The colorful portrait is rimmed by an ornately decorated oval frame, embellished with purple SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS.
