This brand new edition by Niue comes in two versions: 17,5 g silver 999 and 6 g gold 9999. All of them boast an impressive and unique decoration - a piece of genuine amber inserted on the reverse. The sixth coin from the series „Amber Road 2016” is dedicated to WROCŁAW – one of the oldest and most beautiful Polish cities. Situated at the foot of the Sudetes, on the Oder river, cut by numerous tributaries and channels, Wrocław is an exceptional city of 12 islands and over hundred bridges called the “Venice of the North”. On the reverse, one can see a small amber sculpture made with the technique intaglio relief, a result of incredible craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each coin stands out from the rest due to the unique shade of amber – no two inserts are similar! Struck from 17,5 g silver 999 proof with microprinting, each coin is individually numbered and comes housed in a specially designed presentation case. The worldwide mintage is limited to 999 pieces.
