The Mint says about this coin:
People have always been surprised at how zodiac signs determine some features of their characters. The mystery of the zodiac was praised by many painters. In 1896 the Czech artist Alphonse Mucha painted his version of the zodiacal circle, and in 2011, the year of the master's 150th anniversary, the island of Niue issued a series of 12 coins dedicated to the horoscope. Each coin in the series, including the stunning Aquarius, is made of .925 silver, and in 10.000 copies. The obverse side is rather exciting from the collectors' point of view. It has not only the traditional effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, but also the circle of horoscope showing the images painted by the famous representative of Art Nouveau philosophy. The obverse side also has circular legends reading the year and the country of issue, the face value of the coin and the name of the queen, who is the official ruler of this Polynesian island. The reverse side depicts a beautiful woman painted by Alphonse Mucha. The beauty is holding a carnation flower and has a stunning red dress on. The designers chose to mint full-color replicas of the master's images of women as he became famous for his paintings showing the tender delicacy of the fair sex. This side of the coin also has a small emblem of Aquarius by Mucha, and an inscription that stands for the name of the coin.
