Star signs, for instance, influence our character, and nobody knows how it happens. If you were born under the sign of Cancer, you will surely like this coin issued in 2011 by Niue. It is a part of a big series named A.Mucha's Zodiac, and celebrates an anniversary of a famous Czech painter who created many masterpieces. There was a total of 10.000 Cancer coins issued, and each of them is made of great .925 silver with colored mints. The proof quality of silver is best seen on the brilliant obverse. This side of the coin has no colorful mints, and contains three main composition elements: an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, a line with legends and the zodiacal circle placed along the fringe. The legends denote the name of Niue's regent, the year of issue, the territory of legal tender and the face value of the coin. The reverse side is what makes every coin in the series absolutely unique. The Cancer has a very special colored image of a lady painted by the famous master of the Art Nouveau age. This coin contains an image of a woman wearing flowers in her hair and having a passionate look in her eyes. The only inscription on the reverse stands for the name of the coin. The lower half of this side also contains a small copy of the Cancer sign depicted by Alphonse Mucha in his famous Zodiac.
