Along with the zodiac sign, it is dedicated to the works of a famous Art Nouveau painter, Alphonse Mucha, whose anniversary was celebrated that year. There was a series of proof .925 silver coins issued, each in 10.000 copies. All coins united in the A.Mucha's zodiac series have the same mint on the obverse. It represents the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II surrounded by a circle with legends and a zodiacal circle as painted by Mucha in his famous work dated 1896. The legends on the obverse read the name of Niue's regent, the nominal value of the coin, the country of legal tender and the year of mintage. The reverse side of the Libra coin is absolutely marvelous. It contains a full-color image of a lady painted by A.Mucha. She has lovely black hair and lots of amazing jewelry pieces. The background of the reverse contains a stylish ornament repeating the characteristic style of the master. There's also an inscription reading the name of the coin and an interesting emblem of Libra painted by Mucha in the Zodiac.
