The Mint says about this coin:
Alphonse Mucha is a famous Czech painter famous for his works representing beautiful women painted with a very particular style. In 2011, when the world was celebrating the 150th anniversary of the artist, Niue issued a series of 12 coins dedicated to the Zodiac painting by the master. Every coin in the series, including the marvelous Scorpio, is minted of high-quality .925 silver in 10.000 copies, and contains a full-color reproduction of the master's works. The obverse of the Scorpio coin has a small profile of Her Majesty Elizabeth II, who is the official ruler of Niue. The royal image is surrounded by multiple inscriptions reading the queen's name, the country of issue, the face value of the coin and the year when it was issued. Minted along the fringe is a reproduction of the zodiacal circle painted by A.Mucha in 1896. The reverse side of all coins in the series contains colored images of women created by the master. The Scorpio shows a beauty with a cunning and passionate look. She has a beautiful snake decoration on her head and a dark-brown dress on. The designers placed the lady's image so that it could seem that she is leaning upon an emblem of Scorpio painted in the Zodiac by Mucha. The only inscription on this side of the coin explains its name and harmonizes with delicate ornaments resting in the background.
