The Pacific island of Niue is proud to present a new collectible coin entitled the Christmas Star. A unique shape of a seven-pointed star and low mintage of 7 000 pieces make this .925 silver issue a real catch for collectors fond of Christmas gift coins. The obverse design of this Niue coin features the national coat of arms of Niue Island. Around the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, there are the inscriptions of the coin’s face value and the year of its mintage. There are also stylized snowflake shapes and the legend indicating the name of the issuing country.
