We are glad to introduce to you the series of Niue lucky coins with the most popular symbols of luck to bring a little more fortune into your life. These $2 silver collectables proved to be extremely remarkable for their transparent capsule inlay containing a 24 carat gold-plated piece of silver in the form of a charming tiny horseshoe, ladybird, four-leaf clover, elephant and goldfish. Depicted on the obverse, there is the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. A stylized image of fish against the background of underwater landscape is also pictured on this side of the coin. The inscriptions along the rim of this lucky coin include the Queen’s name, the face value of the coin, its issuing country and year. The reverse of this Niue coin features the image of two goldfish swimming underwater. The goldfish is believed to bring luck in the form of tranquility, wisdom and long life. As one of the eight sacred symbols of Buddha, it symbolizes fertility, abundance and harmony.
