The Mint says about this coin:
The new Tropical Fish series presented by the Pacific island of Niue consists of three silver proof coins dedicated to the beautiful Royal Blue Tang, Royal Gramma and Guineafowl Pufferfish. This .925 silver coin captures an extraordinary Blue Tang fish that can boast a vibrant electric blue body dressed with bold black markings. The obverse of this rectangular Niue coin bears the effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II. The inscriptions surrounding the portrait include the Queen’s name, the name of the issuing country, the face value of the coin and its issuing year. The reverse of the silver coin is truly amazing. The colorful image depicts the Royal Blue Tang with reef coral engraving in the background. Native to reefs across the Indo-Pacific, this flat, like a pancake, fish is always on the move, only resting at night. When faced with danger or afraid of dark spaces, Blue Tangs become semi-transparent in order to hide from predators. The inscriptions on the reverse also include the name of the coin and that of the series. This Royal Blue Tang coin comes housed in a custom mold box reminiscent of an aquarium that features a liquid filled lid with an air bubble. A nice addition to your marine life coin collection!
