This is the second coin of the series, struck from 1 oz silver .999 with the extremely limited mintage – 500 pieces only! Decorated with four genuine Swarovski crystals, the ultrahigh relief of the antique finish coin impresses with its details and perfectly renders the animals’ appearance and emotions. With the animal skin motif at the background, the obverse of the Niue coin contains the effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II. The inscriptions surrounding the portrait include the Queen’s name, the face value of the coin, its issuing country and year. The reverse of the animal coin shows a magnificent buffalo with its pretty calf, their eyes shimmering with red Swarovski crystals. Buffalos are formidable mammals with sparse gray-black coats and enormous backward-curving, crescent-shaped horns found in large herds across Africa. Because of their mightiness and unpredictable nature, buffalos are considered to be one of the most dangerous animals in Africa behind hippos and crocodiles. The coin and series names are also engraved on the reverse. A real catch for nature lovers! |
