Warriors of History

" series brings some legendary warriors in human history to life. This silver coin shows a colored illustration of a Viking in full battle-gear. Vikings lived between the 8th and the 11th century in northern Europe and were warlike, traveling by sea people. Vigings were great warriors, they spread fear and terror to Europe and North America. Vigings (also "Norman" or "Norsemen" called) were great shipbuilders and merchants. They traded furs, ivory or whalebone and exchanged them against silk, spices, jewelry, gold and silver coins. By trading Norman merchants came even as far as China and Persia.
