This rectangular one ounce fine silver coin features a replica image of the 1930s poster for the 29th Silly Symphony cartoon. Released on July 30, 1932 by Walt Disney Productions it was the first cartoon to be made in color - at Walt Disney’s insistence. It was also the first to earn him an Academy Award®. The coin design incorporates both color and engraving to great effect. The coin is presented in a complimentary perspex holder, designed to frame it and allow for easy display.
