Warriors of History

" series brings some legendary warriors in human history to life. This silver coin shows a colored illustration of a Knight Templar in full battle-gear. He stands against an antique-finished, engraved background depicting knights on warhorses going into battle. Templars were among the wealthiest and most powerful of the Western Christian military orders. The Templars were closely tied to the Crusades, when the Holy Land was lost, support for the order faded. Under pressure from King Philip, Pope Clement V disbanded the order in 1312.
