Following on from the Solar System & Mission to Mars coins, this special coin depicts the shuttle’s approach to the moon.
Inside the capsule you will find a genuine piece of space flown shuttle insulation.
This material was taken from the payload bay area of orbiter Discovery and was flown on mission STS - 85.
While in space it helped protect the orbiter's components from extreme heat and cold temperatures during spaceflight conditions.
