The Pterodactyl takes flight in this exciting Dinosaur Coin Collection struck in 1oz pure silver. The word ‘Pterodactylus’, commonly known as Pterodactyls, comes from the Greek meaning ‘winged finger’. Pterodactylus had extremely long, specially adapted fourth fingers, to which its wings were attached. The coin has been antiqued as part of the overall design aesthetic. The reverse shows a coloured and engraved image of the dragon-like, winged Pterodactyls in flight against a prehistoric background. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is legal tender in Niue. The numbered Certificate of Authenticity fits neatly inside a quality coin case which is placed inside a themed outer box. This certificate confirms the limited mintage of 2,000 coins. Reverse: Shows a coloured and engraved image of the dragon-like, winged Pterodactyls in flight against a prehistoric background. | ||||||
