A stunning and extraordinary antique finish silver coin of the new series "Mysteries of History" has recently been issued by Niue Island. The coin pays tribute to the Amber Room also known as the Amber Chamber located in the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg. The obverse represents the image of a crown as well as the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Along the rim of the Niue coin, there are the inscriptions indicating the Queen’s name, the name of the issuing country, the face value of the silver coin and the issuing year. The reverse design features the splendid Amber Room of Saint Petersburg (Russia) with a real piece of amber embedded to the right. The outstanding Amber Room in the Catherine Palace of Tsarskoye Selo near Saint Petersburg is a magnificent chamber decoration of amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors. Owing to its exquisite beauty, the Room is sometimes named the "Eighth Wonder of the World". At the bottom of the coin, there is the legend denoting its name. This Amber Room coin will undoubtedly become a great gift to be appreciated by everyone.
