A new impressive and inimitable coin series has been launched to occupy a unique niche in the world of numismatics. The 2013 Crystal Art series by Niue starts with the Secrets of Lichtenstein Antique-finish silver coin issued with the extremely limited mintage quantity of only 999 pieces worldwide. The finely crafted obverse of the silver coin bears the small effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II surrounded by the inscriptions indicating the Queen’s name, the name of the issuing country and the issuing year. This side of the coin is also decorated with a crystal glass insert according to series name. The amazingly detailed reverse features Lichtenstein Castle, a charming neo-gothic construction built between 1840 and 1842 and situated on top of a cliff in the Swabian Alb Mountain range, Germany. This fairy-tale castle is surrounded by the chapel, ample garden and the romantic courtyard, all of them built in the 19th century as well. The reverse crystal glass insert duplicates the one on the obverse of the coin. At the top of the coin, there is the legend denoting its name, while the lower part includes the inscription of the series name. This Niue release is a real piece of art to be appreciated and sought after by collectors all over the world.
