Dedicated to the Winter Palace of the Belvedere complex, Vienna, the coin is a smooth mix of high relief images with antique finish and a huge amethyst insert. All this beauty is struck from 2 oz fine silver .999 with the mintage limited to a mere 666 pieces worldwide! The obverse displays a small effigy of Her Majesty Elizabeth II surrounded by the following inscriptions: the Queen’s name, the issuing country and year. In the background, there is a high relief image of the Winter Palace decorations struck in impressive detail. A beautiful piece of amethyst gives the coin a special look! The reverse features the Belvedere Winter Palace decorations enriched with the same amethyst insert as on the obverse. The Belvedere actually consists of 3 palaces - the Upper Belvedere, the Lower Belvedere and the Winter Palace - sprawled throughout Vienna.
