This coin was issued in Niue. We have no further information yet but will soon expand this page. First published in January 1845, The Raven tells of a widower lamenting his lost love when a Raven mysteriously appears at the window. “Nevermore!” the Raven cries, as the narrator’s soul slips further, and further away... One of many Gothic horror works by Edgar Allan Poe, The Raven is amongst his most famous and most symbolic. Struck from 2oz of 99.9% pure silver, the coin honours the 175th anniversary of this famous spooky story with a selectively black rhodium plated design. Depicting the mysterious raven in silhouette, each 50mm collector issue also features the ultimate harbinger of doom, a skull. The coin comes housed within a wooden collector case which includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity from the Commonwealth Mint. Limited mintage of just 500 coins! Features Mintage limit of only 500 coins
