Samoa has authorised some private mints to issue coins under its jurisdiction, which come in a variety of sizes - including in the popular gold ounce (1 oz gold) format, such as this one.

This coin is part of the fourth release in the Alien series by the Scottsdale Mint, which was initially issued for Ghana but with the 2024 release switched to the issuing authority of Samoa.
