Taz first appearance was in 1954 together with Bugs Bunny in the cartoon "Devil May Hare". His personality is purportedly based on the real life Australian marsupial, particularly its insatiable appetite and disagreeable temperament.
Taz is ferocious, impatient, devious and prone to terrible tantrums. Chewing through almost anything, spinning like a tornado, and emitting rough grunts, growls and screeches, he is like no other contemporary Warner Bros. cartoon character in his extremes of craziness!
