Directed by Steven Spielberg, and based on Ernest Cline’s bestseller of the same name, the movie Ready Player One™ is set in 2045. People have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe that is built like a game. The third coin of the Series features the movie character Aech™ in vivid colour holding a gun used to help him fight off rivals. The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2018 year-date. The coin of one ounce silver is presented in a clear plexiglass holder, allowing both sides of the coin to be displayed, and is packaged within a themed shipper with a certificate.
