The obverse has a portrait of Thomas Jefferson, the third president of the United States of America and one of the country’s founding fathers.

Around above, the inscription AMERICAN VIRTUES and E PLURIBUS UNUM (the national motto of the United States, meaning "unity in diversity).

Below the portrait, THOMAS JEFFERSON and MMXXI (the date of issue 2021, in Roman numerals).

Below right, in an oval the hallmark (?) CFL, followed by the precious metal content, 10 oz Ag .999 (ten troy ounces of 99.9% silver).

Around the rim above, a famous quote by Thomas Jefferson, “NEVER TROUBLE ANOTHER FOR WHAT YOU CAN DO YOURSELF”.

On the reverse side of the round is a portrait of Lady Liberty walking on a road labelled INDEPENDENCE. She is carrying a laurel leaf in one hand and a torch in the other. An eagle is flying behind her clutching a bunch of arrows.

In the background is a silhouette of New York City when the twin towers were still part of the skyline.

These silver rounds come in two finishes: proof or antique, an have Ultra High Relief (UHR).
