Coin | Silver Two Ounces Scottsdale Stacker Round |
---|
|
In the United States, a significant number of private mints produce bullion which is not legal tender and is targeted at investors and not at coin collectors - such as this one.
This type of silver round has been produced since 2014.
The Mint says about it: This Scottsdale Mint original Stacker Round is 2 Troy Ounces of .999 Fine Silver. It stacks and interlocks with the other two sizes - the 100 grams and the five ounces, which have the same diameter. With Ultra High relief definition it’s not exactly a coin or a bar, it is truly a new class of precious metal. |
|
Obverse | |
The back of the round ("obverse") has a depression that matches the raised part on the front (the "reverse") so that multiple rounds can be stacked on top of each other, fitting in like Lego bricks.
Around the rim, the inscription 2 Troy Oz .999 Fine Silver Scottsdale Mint around left, and 2 Troy Oz .999 Fine Silver Stacker® Round around right. |
