The Swiss company Usine Genevoise de Dégrossissage d'Or (UGDO) was founded in Geneva in 1875. In addition to jewelry and semi-finished goods for the manufacture of watches, industrial bars were also produced for the LBMA as well as smaller gold and silver investment units. After 1939, its silver and gold bars were stamped with the abbreviation UGDO. In 1986 the company was taken over by Metalor Technologies SA. |
