Kongo - Manikongo Manuel de Vuzi a Nóbrega (King Manuel de Vuzi a Nóbrega in Mbamba Lovata) (1678 - 1715)

Manuel de Vuzi a Nóbrega was a Mwenekongo (King) of Mbamba Lovata in Kongo, who ruled there between 1678-1715.

In 1678, King Daniel I was killed in the battle, which is known as the Sack of São Salvador, ending his rule. The destruction of the kingdom's capital meant that the nation essentially ceased to exist for over twenty years, instead split into three rival kingdoms ruled by the various claimants to the Kongo throne of the three houses. Manuel de Nóbrega succeeded his brother Daniel as the ruler of the Kingdom of Mbamba Lovata for the Kimpanzu

He was a pretender to the throne of all Kongo, but the county was eventually reunited after the period of civil wars by his rival, King Pedro IV.
