1970 Proof Set, Coin Set from Australia - detailed information

This coin set contains all six of the circulating denominations issued by Australia in 1970: from 1 Cent up to 50 Cents (the larger denominations of $1 and $2 had not yet not introduced at that time).

In 1970, no 50-cent coins of the definitive Coat of Arms were issued; instead, there was a circulating commemorative (the first in the denomination) marking the bicentenary (200 years) of James Cook's 1770 voyage.

The coins in the set are in Proof FDC grade. The set comes in a plastic lens withing a styrofoam protective box.
