This set was issued to mark the tenth anniversary of the Angel bullion range issued by the Pobjoy Mint, and a change in its reverse design. It contains two quarter-ounce gold coins, one dated 1993 with the original design introduced in 1984 with Saint Michael facing left surrounded by a Celtic motif, and one dated 1994 where the Archangel faces right, with a plain rim.
Another change was that the composition went from 22 carat gold to 99.99% gold. The word "last" in the name of the set does not mean that the range was discontinued later, it is in the sense of "latest".
Apart from the coins, there is also a one-ounce silver medal with individual numbering.
The set comes in a luxury timber box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. |
