The Fifth Circulating Coinage Portrait - First Edition (Silver Proof Set)
Set NameThe Fifth Circulating Coinage Portrait - First Edition (Silver Proof Set)

In 2015, the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the coinage of the United Kingdom was updated from her official Fourth Effigy to her Fifth Portrait by Jody Clark. This set is the first set containing all the regular circulating denominations from £2 down to 1p carrying the new Fifth Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark.

At the same time that the portrait was change, a new "definitive" £2 coin was also issued; this set features the newly issued Britannia-type £2 and not the Technology £2 as the "Fourth Portrait" set did.

The coins are struck in Proof FDC grade with frosted finish, in Sterling Silver.
