This coin set is a sub-set of the United Kingdom Proof Set of the year; it only contains the commemorative coins from it.

These include: the Queen's Coronation 60th Anniversary £5), three different commemorative £2 coins: the Golden Guinea, the London Underground (Roundel) and the London Underground (Train), and the Christopher Ironside commemorative 50 pence. There are also two £1 coins with the floral emblems of England and Wales respectively.

The coins are struck in Sterling Silver in Proof FDC grade, with a frosted finish; they are "Piedfort", meaning double the thickness and weight of regular silver proofs.
