This coin set was issued in 1937 to celebrate the coronation of King George VI. It includes all the circulating denominations plus a commemorative Crown piece, and the four Maundy coins of the year.

The coins are in "specimen" grade - what would later become known as "Proof", and have a matte finish (according to Spink - specially prepared in order to be used in photography). Only a couple of sets were made at most.
