|
Like many other mints, the Austrian Mint (Münze Österreich) issues bullion and commemorative coins in precious metals, including in the internationally popular format of one quarter of a troy ounce (1/4oz) of gold. The best known of these is the Vienna Philharmonic type, but the mint also issues other designs. The coins are denominated variously as 25 or 50 Euros; because they are not in the standard circulating denominations (from 1 Euro Cent to €2), they are legal tender in Austria only and not in the whole Eurozone. |
