A square coin with a smooth edge and rounded corners weighing 6.48g, measuring 21.5mm across the flats, and 2.17mm in thickness, bearing on the obverse the Coat-of-Arms of The Bahamas together with the words "Commonwealth of The Bahamas" which form a crown around the Coat-of-Arms. Below the Coat-of-Arms is the year that the coin was minted. On the reverse is a depiction of a Hibiscus flower, together with the text "FIFTEEN CENTS".

Composition: 75% copper, 25% nickel.
